Native Son

BIOGRAPHY:  Native Son is a Long Island, NY rock band that blends dynamics and diverse influences into the basic foundation of hard, heavy rock.  The band began its journey in 2018 and has developed a humble yet loyal worldwide following through that time.  Members are:  Rob Masterson on Bass, Tim O'Malley on Guitar, Ray Zair on Drums, and Lou Megna on Vocals, Guitar and Piano.  

Native Son's music has been broadcast locally on Long Island and all over the world, in places such as Scotland, England, Australia, France, and Germany.  The band is ever grateful to Double Trouble Radio, Say What Radio, Rising Stars Radio and Radio What for giving our songs more than a few spins.

Native Son's recent live appearances include such venues as Napper Tandy's in Bay Shore, Finley's of Huntington, Katie's of Smithtown, Village Pub Lindenhurst, Mr. Beery's and Nostalgia in Bethpage.

Four of Native Son's songs, "Angel,"  "Take It," “Wanderer” and “Trains” have been featured in the Local Artist Spotlight on 94.3 The Shark FM's new music show, 'Fresh Blood.'

The band is currently working on a single called “What I Need” and prepping for some shows in 2026.
